Production
Following an on-set mishap, Indian 2’s production was severely delayed. This was made worse by India’s COVID-19 pandemic lockdown, which raised questions about whether the movie would resume. At this point, filmmaker S. Shankar turned his attention to other endeavours and started writing a script for a possible multi-starrer movie that would be released in multiple languages. Yash was being considered for one of the main parts.
People reduce the topics discussed in these films to a single word, corruption, just because they deal with politics. However, there are various aspects to it; there are various forms of governance, and we have attempted to examine the authority and limitations of an IAS officer in this movie. As a story progresses, it may take on some characteristics of real life, but we didn’t base the character on a specific individual.”
